The International Society for Music Education (ISME) is a non-profit organization that champions the belief that lived experiences of music, in all their rich diversity, are essential to the human experience.

Aligned with our mission, ISME proudly supports eight Commissions, allowing members to explore specialized areas in the field of music education in depth. These Commissions facilitate knowledge sharing, research, and collaboration within their fields. Each commission hosts a
Pre-Conference Seminar during the week leading up to the biennial ISME World Conference.
