Application for 2026 MISTEC Travel Awards is available to those who do not have financial support for travel from their country. It will be given to the spoken paper and workshop presenters of the 2026 MISTEC pre-conference seminar.

Eligibility

• ISME Members who are attending the MISTEC Pre-Conference Seminar
• Full papers for the MISTEC Pre-Conference Seminar must be accepted for spoken papers or workshops.

Selection Criteria

• Quality of proposed presentation (as determined by criteria for selecting/rating proposals).
• Priority will be given to:
  • Applicants from underrepresented countries
  • First-time MISTEC conference attendees
  • Applicants who are unable to secure funding from other sources

How to apply

• Log into the ISME Harmony Portal with your ISME credentials 
• Select MISTEC Travel Awards and follow the instructions thereafter
• Please be ready to paste a 100-word statement as detailed below

Submission requirements

You will be requested to submit the following:

• A 100-word explanation regarding why a travel award is sought to attend the 2026 MISTEC Seminar.
